‘Everything you give away’ (Stroom, 2026)
Pablo’s Eye continue their unique journey in sound with their new release, Everything you give away. Building on previous recent releases, the album is made up of several short tracks, each a stand-alone mood piece, but also part of a whole. Head honcho Axel Libeert brings to the mix his superb production skills that provides the finish to allow the songs to work their magic. The overall feel of the album is one of intrigue, mystery even. ‘Bardo for Pablo’ is an instruction on how to live; ‘A dash of raspberry’ about a mysterious death in the mountains; ‘Pendientes de jade’ – spoken in Spanish – reminiscent of a Victor Erice film. Many of the tracks are expertly programmed instrumentals, full of bass energy and rhythmic complexity. A sumptuous, richly rewarding listening experience.
